About Dutchess Beer Distributors, Inc.
The vision of Dutchess Beer Distributors is to be the Hudson
Valley's quality leader in wholesale beverage distribution while
actively serving our customers and community.
The Founders
Dutchess Beer Distributors was founded in 1933 by Jack Jocias and
covered Dutchess and Ulster counties. Anthony Cappillino joined Mr.
Jocias as a driver in 1933 and worked himself up to manager. Anthony
Kondysar started as office manager in the 1960’s.
Second Generation
Both Anthony Cappillino and Anthony Kondysar became owners after Mr.
Jocias died in 1968. Dennis Cappillino joined in 1972 as a
merchandiser then later became a salesman. In 1992 Dennis became
sales manager and part owner. Stephen Kondysar joined in 1989 as a
merchandiser, later became a salesman, sales manager and part owner
in 1998. In 1997 Anthony Cappillino died and in 2000 Anthony
Kondysar retired. Today Dennis and Stephen are partners.
The Next Generation
Tyler Cappillino entered in 2000 and now works in the sales
department. Stephen Kondysar Jr. entered in 2009 and will continue the family business with Tyler.
